Duties under the four Labour Codes arrive in steps as an establishment grows. Registration under the OSHWC Code, provident fund and State insurance coverage, factory status with and without power, grievance redressal and works committees, the Internal Committee for prevention of sexual harassment, contract labour licensing, inter-State migrant worker duties, canteen, creche, welfare officer, safety committee and safety officer, standing orders, the equal opportunity policy, and prior permission for lay-off, retrenchment and closure each attach at a notified number of workers.
